ABOUT THE ARTIST: CLAIRE JEANNE ROBERTE COLINET was born in Brussels and studied with Jef Lambeaux. She moved to Paris and was elected to the SOCIETE des ARTISTES FRANCAIS and exhibited at the salon from 1913. Her work was varied from the usual ballet figures of the period ton interpretaion of a a Valkyrie on horseback. Her works are featured in Brian Catley's 'Art Deco and Other Figures'.
