You are bidding on an Antique Singer ~Treadle~ Sewing Machine (Serial #16775971)...in EXCELLENT “ORIGINAL” CONDITION! This true antique dates from around 1899...and is ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS! Over the last couple of years, I toured the great state of Ohio looking for Singer Treadles to add to my collection. Well...I decided (with strong encouragement from my wife) that I need to reclaim my office and part of my garage?so some of these gems have got to go! Over the next several weeks...I will be selling ten or twelve Singer Treadles. My loss...is truly your gain! This auction includes one of the nicest Singer Treadles I have ever had the pleasure of selling! If I did not already have six of them in my house...I would not be selling it. Aesthetically Speaking...all parts of this sewing machine look ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS! I can tell you one thing...THEY DON’T COME MUCH BETTER! There are minor signs of wear consistent with over 100 years of use; however there are no signs of abuse...WHATOSEVER! The quarter-sawn oak cabinet features sturdy construction, applied, wood décor, and seven drawers. I don’t believe this cabinet has ever been refinished, and it needs nothing...but a place to sit! The cast iron treadle base is free from any major damages and looks just as good as the cabinet itself. The base spins smoothly and the four wheels turn as they should. Finally, the sewing machine head (a Model #27) still maintains the majority of its applied decals and appear to work as it should.  Upon arrival and set-up of this machine, I would recommend lubricating the sewing machine head (which I recommend for all the sewing machines I sell). Best of all...this sewing machine comes with the following: (1) Tons of Attachments, (2) Extra thread holders, and (3) A Brand New Leather Belt with Mounting Instructions.
