Description
Description:      It is with great pleasure that I am again offering selected pieces on eBay that I have gathered on my resent buy trip. Most of my offering comes from privet collections or homes in the Caucasus, Anatolia and Persia. I hope my offerings are good examples for valid eBay customers such as: collectors, interior designers, dealers or any other antique, historical and village rug lovers. I promise that you never get disappointed for your purchase on my auctions.      This is a rare example of fine and one of a kind 19th century KHILA Caucasian rug which was made around 1880. This very rare and antique rug is from Baku region which is called Chila or Khila. Khila is a historically important weaving center near Baku. This rug is one the best, and antique Baku rug that I offer for e bay customers. Unusual motifs with animal, arrow, star and flower figures make this attractive rug so powerful. Rug is full of elements. The main element of composition of this group of carpets is Butte which is one of the richest ornamental elements of Azerbaijan's decorative arts. Butte is frequently used for expression of the fire and flame images. There are many animal figures such as horses, dogs, birds, I believe those are symbols of security and peace at that times. Look at the bright and multiple colors of this rug which is sign of happy and busy family who made this collector treasure. Very nice stripe design borders at many bright colors surrounded by two small borders. Variety of pattern panning out to cover all available space was characteristic. It is really wild, bold and out of mind. The colors include a very nice blue, apple red, old green, natural brown, jewel yellow, white, ivory. Of course all colors are natural and 100% vegetal dyes. The wool of this rug is absolutely soft, and shiny.   This rug has perfect condition for its age, even pile all over with both and selvages are complete. One of the ends has been received superb quality of restoration which is really hard to see from back and front, but other end and selvages are original. There are some very small old repairs and some small repilling areas which are also really hard to recognize.  This rug has a magnificent large size which is; 11'-7"x5'-7".    The last thing that I would like to mention that, rug is so beautiful, colorful and maybe one of a kind, perhaps I couldn't describe that as it is , I believe you can see the all wonderful design, colors and age on the images and I hope you judge for your self that how beautiful and gorgeous it is. This rug recently belongs to the privet home in Baku. The best of all I offered this rug at very reasonable price that you could never believe that. The value of this rug at any especial and professional big rug galleries or any international auction houses is more than fifty thousand dollars, but I put this auction for less than one third of very reasonable value for more competitions. I hope this rug the same as others is a good example for valid E bay customers such as: collectors, interior designers, dealers or any other antique, historical and village rug lovers, I promise, you never get disappointed for your purchase on my auctions    Feel free for any of your questions regarding this auction or my other listings and I would like to mention that I offer money back guarantee if this rug is not consistent with my images and text. Thanks for watching and Good luck.  "Please visit my other auctions."
