HERE ARE TWO OF THE MOST INCREDIBLE PIECES OF ANTIQUE HAND CARVED IVORY / SCRIMSHAW I HAVE EVER LAID EYES ON, WHEN YOU LOOK, YOU WILL AGREE! THESE ARE 2 CARVED IVORY FIGURES, A MAN AND A WOMAN, THEY LOOK VERY PERIOD, MY GUESS WOULD BE MIDDLE 1700'S OR LATER. THEY STAND JUST OVER 7 1/2 INCHES TALL, HAVE MOVABLE ARMS AND HEADS, WHICH ARE MANIPULATED BY A LEVER UNDERNEATH THE BASES, WHICH MOVE BACK AND FORTH, CAUSING THE HEADS TO ROTATE RIGHT AND LEFT AND THE ARMS TO SWING UP AND DOWN. tHESE ARE INCREDIBLE PIECES OF ART, ABSOLUTLY MUSEUM QUALITY, YOU HEAR THOSE WORDS BANDIED AROUND A LOT HERE ON EBAY, BUT THESE ARE THE REAL DEAL, THEY MAY HAVE BEEN THE TOYS OF A VERY RICH CHILD CENTURYS AGO, OR JUST A WEALTHY GENTLEMANS PLAY THINGS. JUST LOOK AT THE DETAIL ON THESE FIGURES, I HAVE MORE PICTURES IF YOU ARE SERIOUSLY INTERESTED.
