Description
This is an old brass and black painted iron school microscope with dual objectives. It has the number 14 painted on the front of the main tube and on the heel of the base which is partially chipped off. The main tube has an extension at the top. The objectives are marked- AO Spencer 43x N.A. .66 860615 chrome, and a brass one- Spencer Lens Co. 61355 10x 16mm N.A. 0.25. The eyepiece is marked 10x. All the optics looks excellent which is unusual for an old school microscope. It has newer slide clips. Under the stage is a good working aperture diaphragm. It is missing the mirror so may have been used with a light source. The course and fine focus works fine as does the tilt. There is some black paint loss and it appears to have lost most of the lacquer from the brass. The scope stands about 11.5 inches tall at normal working distance.SORRY NO PICKUPS. Winner pays shipping for 11 lbs. Priority plus Delivery Confirmation (U.S.A.) from my Zip-Code 46761.Insurance is extra and is based on final sale price. The listing form requires that I give the insurance cost before the final price is known so may not be correct.Keep in mind the New USPS "Dimensional-Weight" may cause the shipping to be more than actual weight costs for packages over 1 cubic foot and light weight for zones 5 to 8 from my zip!I will combine multiple wins for shipping when possible, but ask first. Payment must be received by 10 days from auction close. I accept PayPal, Money Orders and Checks if you have an established positive feedback rating. Thanks for looking and good luck!
