For sale is a Shinto Katana in Handachi mounts. Blade's shape is Shinogi Tsukuri, Chu Kissaki, Torii Sori. Blade shows an excellent and very active Chojimidare Hamon. Possibly a Bizen Blade. Cutting edge measures 67.5 cm. Blade is well balanced with Bohi (bloodgroves). There is one Ware (grain opening) otherwise no flaws. Should polish very nicely. Nakago is suriage with two Mekugi Ana, Kiri Yasurime and signed Izumi No Kami… The remaining signature has been lost due to its shortening.Blade is housed in a Handachi Koshirae. Tsuka has Shakudo Handachi Fuchi / Kashira with brass Shishi Menuki. Shingunto Chery Blossom Tsuba. High quality and decorated Ishime lacquer Saya with some reapairals and matching Handachi Shakudo Handachi mounts.
