For sale is a late Koto periode Katana. I would want to think about 500 years old. Blade shape is Shinogi Tsukuri, Chu Kissaki, Torii Sori. Blade has Masame-Hada, Suguha Hamon and nice Taki Tsune Boshi. In old but nice polish with some minor rust spots see pictures. Some small grain openings as to be expected with a blade that has seen some polishing. Cutting edge measures 65.2 cm. Nakago with two 2 Mekugi Ana and Sujikai Yasurime. Blade is signed Kanenaga. Signature looks good to me. Koshirae consits of a copper Habaki, iron Fuchi with remains of Goldnunome, plain brass Kashira and Fish / Lobster Menuki. Tsukaito is green silk over black same. Tsuka shows wear and use. Nademarugata iron tsuba displaying trees, ricks and a waterfall signed Furukawa Uechin. Black lacquer Saya with missing Kurigata.
