We were attracted to this pair due to the quality of craftmanship and also the contemporary yet old look somehow achieved by the design which is very popular now. They have the art deco look to them and are very stylish and somewhat unique. The finish is a lovely light sandy burr walnut veneer with beautiful swirls and burls to the grain accentuated by a recent repolishing. The edges of the base, top and side are highlighted by a black trim which gives it a very elegant and stylish look. There is also a design of a classical urn completed in inlay. They are a design classic and normally used as bedside cabinets with the big opening cupboard and small drawer to the top. They are the ideal accessory for those wanting to achieve the look of mixing modern with antique which is all the rage at the moment.
