RARE WORDING ANTIQUE COBALT POISON BOTTLE' Description SUPERB TINY VICTORIAN 1 OZ COBALT BLUE POISON BOTTLE * Rare Wording Layout * "POISON - NOT TO BE TAKEN This small, half ounce cobalt blue unusual as it contains the actual warning of "Poison" on the bottle which is very unusual on these bottles. The bottle also carries the warning of "Not to be Taken". It is very uncommon to see this layout. The bottle is clearly ribbed to ensure that it is easily identifiable as a poison bottle even in the dark. This is a superb example of a rare English poison bottle. The bottle is 3.25 inches tall and made of beautiful deep blue cobalt glass. It is in excellent condition with no chips or scratches. It is ribbed on the front. This ribbing was necessary to prevent blind people accidently swallowing the contents with dire results. Picture shown next to a Dime coin to illustrate the tiny size - a rare item.
