Description
Hopefully this fine old model will make us a new friend - so FREE Shipping AND Insurance for all our fellow collector friends in the Continental Unites States of America ! Lovely condition & Does not her show age - Very well built SHIP and properly displayed over the years! Never seen smoke or direct sunlight (while we've owned her over the years.) Should you decide to purchase another item from our family's collections of "stuff" we've collected over more than 40 years, I will pay for your shipping on BOTH items! :) We have decided to list her far below value rather than have fellow collectors go through the riggors of bidding after bidding, watching other peoples bid, staying on top of it, etc. So, she's priced far less than 1/2 value. If you would like me to add a buy-it-now for you, please email me and I will be pleased to acomodate you. GenevieveLLC@aol.com Shamrock hand-built model sailboat. Compared to the models available these days- we would consider this piece an antique - the quality and detail of her building as well as the methods used are very evident. She does not have a weighted keel is not, and should not be used as a sailer at this age and value- this was a professionally built model in the day and not a family project for racing in the local pond. She is to be properly displayed and enjoyed. She will be shipped to you double-boxed and properly padded, insured via USPS Priority 2 day service! Historic Americas Cup Challenge Racing yacht with all the makings of a great Pond Yacht but she doesn't appear to have ever seen any water ( and not in the years we've had her) - tiller and all! Complete with extra Spar & sail ON-DECK for authentic appearance and long wood tiller ! She's 41.5" to the tip of her main x 42" LOA x 7.5" beam at midship. The hull is a beutiful high-gloss as she was waxed with the same wax my boys use on our antique Chris-Craft speed boat... great stuff. We traded for her in 1974 at Warwick, Rhode Island (just outside of Newport) and she was far from new in age then, but at that time was under glass and in excellent condition, equally as nice as she is today! Comes to you double boxed by our family and insured at NO additional charge so she'll get to you the way she leave our home, via USPS Priority two day hand delivery. Please feel free to email at my email address below for additional photos or any questions- Genevieve' GenevieveLLC@aol.comShe is 30+ years old and in very nice condition. She is in excellent condition and may have a tiny mark )very tiny if at all) here or there, but overall an extremely nice appearance. (displayed out of sunlight and smoke free conditions) Please take a moment and look at the other treasures our family is parting with from rare model sailboats and ships, to a couple of Nantucket Lighthship Baskets and even some Rolls-Royce and Ferrari "stuff". We use our family eBay store as an estate sale without the strangers coming in and out of our home... :) Original Marine Art Done by World renowned Marine Artists, Artisan shipbuilders & Weavers, and Historians Payment Payment is due within 24 hours of winning bid. PayPal is accepted. Shipping Fine Art (only) is always available for local pick-up OR crated shipment by proper carrier. Unframed collector prints may be sent via Federal Express, USPS Priority, DHL, and UPS. We also use your personal or company account with any of these companies for shipping if you prefer. If a flat shipping charge is not shown in this listing you are welcome to email me for a quote at: GenevieveLLC@aol.com Terms of Sale We INSURE everything for what you paid OR more as often we sell pieces for far less than their replacement value/cost. In the event of damage, your shipment will have been fully and properly insured. No refunds or returns are possible on art. The ONLY exception would be if we made an error in the description of the piece in which case a full refund of the purchase price will be offered. About Us Our family has been collecting Marine Art in the form of Original Oil Paintings, Singed Limited Edition Artist Remarqued Prints, Hand-built sailing ships and sailboats, Scrimshaw, and Nautical Theme Antiques for well over 40 years. We love and enjoy every single piece we own. However, as a result of selling several homes our area for display and enjoyment of our treasures has been decreased by nearly 14,000 sq. feet- therefore you will see listed by our family treasures which you normally would never be able to purchase and at prices which are not only more than realistic, but on the low end to below value in all cases. We do not believe in "storing" treasures such as these we are parting with- they are to be displayed and enjoyed! Most often we are in Birmingham, Michigan (small very nice town north of Detroit, MI) and always happy to hear from you.
