Originally had a longer handle - probably wood - but it is no longer attached. Pictures shows multiple views of ladle and hallmarks. Weighs 3.4 oz. on a postal scale. The entire piece measures 6 3/4" long. The ladle alone measures 4 1/8" across, 2 5/8" wide, and 1" deep. It is oval in shape with one end more pointed. The handle alone measures 4 3/8" long. There appears to have been a repair made where the handle joins the bowl [see close-ups in picture]. Hallmarked with: B3 [date code for 1808], Swedish National Mark, a town mark [probably Goteborg], and "AEW" [maker's mark]. Also marked with "Z&G". Monogrammed with "E AE " and "H E" - see picture closeups. The bowl of the ladle has a few dents as well as the repair mentioned. A beautiful piece and substantial piece.
