Description You are looking at Singer Featherweight Sewing Machine Model 221 in Fantastic Condition! The serial number is AL161649 and the date code underneath the bottom cover is 12/22/52 with a 24 over it. Maybe a inspector number or a line number i'm not sure... This machine works and works well! It was used primarly for hemming ( or so I was told) and another machine was used for clothes making. Other than a few scratches in the finish that may be polished out, this thing is immaculate!! Comes with all the attachments you see in the picture as well as original singer lube. Case is in great condition to be 56 years old. I am not a tailor or a seamstress so I cant tell you much more than this, but IT DOES WORK AND THE MOTOR DOESNT SMOKE!  If you have any questions or need more pictures  I will try to assist you to the best of my ability.
