This rectangular shaped vinaigrette is 1 1/8" long and 7/8" wide. The top cover is hinged, and the interior pierced grill is also hinged. The original sponge is still intact within the vinaigrette. The top has engine-turned decoration centering a rectangular-shaped cartouche with an engraved script monogram "AG". A slightly raised cast foliate border surrounds the top, The bottom of the vinaigrette has engine-turned decoration. The interior of box is gilt, and there is a gilt hinged grill pierced in a flower and scroll pattern. It is hallmarked on inside of top cover (see photo) and inside of base (anchor, TP, letter Z). The condition is very good with crisp engine turned decoration and a finely pierced grill. There is one small separation on one side of the grill hinge.
