Tony Swift Royal Academy - Abstract. Tony Swift studied art at the Royal Academy in the late 1950s and early 60s. Tony went on to specialise as an illustrator and wildlife artist. his illustrations of plants and insects can be seen in many well known books. He also painted the backdrops for the wildlife exhibitions at the Liverpool Museum. I was honoured to know Tony in his later years, and purchased a number of his earlier works. This is an abstract painting in oils on canvas, dating to the mid 1960s. It is a moody piece in subdued colours. Simple wooden frame. Measures approximately 1m x 1m. Offers considered.
