Description
Australia  Provenance The Century Atlas and Gazetteer of the World, Edited by J.G. Bartholomew. Original Publisher London:  John Walker & Co. Farringdon House, Warwick Lane, E. C.  1890  These maps are all at least 118 years old. I removed them from the disbound atlas myself. All our items are original antiques. We do not sell reproductions or later re-printings of any kind. Size / Format In millimeters (and inches) Sheet:  372 x 291  (14.5" X 11.4") Map:  328 X 240  (12.8" X 9.4") The maps are color lithographs that have been printed on heavy, high grade paper and hand-colored in outline. The maps are all printed on one page with no folds, and they have margins of 1" or more on all sides,  which makes them ideal for framing. Condition The maps are in very good condition. There is an occasional spot or unobtrusive mark in the margins of a few of the maps. Unless otherwise noted here, the map itself is very clean and the sheet has no tears whatsoever.     FREE SHIPPING! (see below for details) Shipping Spend $50 or more on two or more maps, and get FREE SHIPPING World-Wide.  If free shipping does not automatically appear when it should, please wait for us to invoice you before making payment. We ship using high quality clear-plastic acid-free bags, foam-core backing (and sometimes fronting as well, depending on the item), or rigid mailing tubes for larger items. We use Canada Post for most items and we are well-versed in all the rates and options for the U.S., Canada and Overseas. We add $1.00 - $3.00 (depending on the size of the item) to the actual cost of postage, to cover materials. There are no handling charges. You can verify rates at:  http://wwww.canadapost.ca We combine shipping at actual cost. Usually three or four similar items can be shipped for the price of one. There is no 'per item' charge. Note that, since we are located in Canada, shipping to the U.S. takes longer than it does between two points within the U.S.  We ALWAYS ship within one working day of receiving payment, and often ship the same day; however, we have no control over how long it takes from there. If you require an expedited delivery, just let us know in advance and we’ll present you with some faster (and more expensive!) options. Sellers' fees are now tied to detailed feedback. Please remember where we are shipping from when you leave feedback about shipping times and / or costs. Delivery to the United States - Insured Airmail with basic Tracking.   $7.50 5 - 15 business days. We use Canada Post's small package airmail service for U.S. delivery. Items can be delivered to Eastern cities in as little as four days. If you are in the West, you'll likely wait several days longer. Delivery time averages seven or eight business days. Delivery to Canada - Insured domestic parcel post. - Lower rates for QC, ON, & NB   $7.50 - $12.50 1 - 7 business days. Rates vary with location. We are in Montreal, and the highest possible shipping rate (i.e. to BC or NL) is given in the listing. If you are in Ontario or Quebec, the rate will be somewhat lower. Please do not pay until we invoice you so that we can adjust the shipping charge according to your location. Delivery Worldwide - Insured Airmail with basic Tracking. - Same rate for all destinations outside the U.S. & Canada   $10.00 5 - 15 business days. Rates are the same to all destinations outside Canada and the United States. All delivery is by air and is insured against loss or damage. Delivery is often faster to Europe than it is to the United States (not sure why). Average delivery times are five business days to the UK & Western Europe, seven business days to Japan & Korea, and ten business days to Australia or South Africa. Payment For purchases under $100, we strongly prefer Paypal. If you would like to pay by another means, please contact us before bidding.  For purchases over $100, we accept Paypal as well as money orders / bank drafts denominated in U.S. or Canadian dollars. Note to U.S. buyers:  Please be sure the money order / bank draft you send can be cashed outside the United States. *Canadian buyers -- We'll happily accept Interac e-mail money transfers directly from your bank account for any purchase of any size. E-mail:  info@mapspast.com For all purchases: Payment is preferred within three days, and required within seven days. We do not accept personal cheques. If you qualify for free shipping (see above) and it doesn't automatically appear on your invoice, please wait for us to invoice you and we'll make the adjustment. Non-paying buyers will be reported to Ebay. This is the only way we can recover the fees that Ebay charges us upon your agreement to purchase. We welcome bids and purchases from new Ebayers; however, if your feedback score is lower than 10 and you are bidding on (or have won) an item over $100, please send us a quick e-mail just to confirm that you are a serious buyer.   Guarantee Your satisfaction is guaranteed. We are responsive sellers, and we prefer to err on the side of generosity if we've made a mistake or if our buyer isn't pleased. Any item can be returned for a full refund (shipping, too if the problem is due to our error) within seven days of purchase  If you are in any way dissatisfied with your purchase, please contact us immediately.
