Description
Item Description  Antique Victorian Heavily Carved Lift Top Bench with Dolphins as arms, griffin front center of the bottom, heavily carved lion feet. Has all the characteristics of being made by  made by R.J. Horner, it is not marked and I'm no expert. It measures 59 inches long at feet, 55 1/2 inches long at seat. 40 1/2 inches tall at back, 17 1/2 inches to lid/seat, 20 inches deep. It has a few chips on the feet, few small chips in the carvings, couple of finish blemishes, an 8 inch crack in the back left board as seen, one extra block was added in the back for more top support. Well used bench, could use a more detailed cleaning as it was quite dusty when I got it out of an estate in Providence, R.I. These typically sell in the $3500 to $5000 range. You will either have to make shipping and packaging arrangements or pick it up and I will help load it on a truck, or I can deliver it for a fee in my closed truck if you are within a 100 miles of zip 02816. You can email me with your address, including zipcode, for a delivery price.   Check Out: You may pay with paypal, or I will send you and invoice within one day of close of auction. Payment is due within 7 days of close of auction. Policies/Terms/Shipping:   If possible, I will combine multiple items when shipping, to save you a few dollars.  As you can see from our feedbacks we're experienced ebay sellers and do a great job at making sure the items you win get to you quickly in an "as described" condition. Although our track record is outstanding in providing you with the items you purchase, you are encouraged to buy insurance on anything deemed fragile, or delivery confirmation if you require any sort of traceability on your items. In almost all cases, we use new cardboard boxes with large and small bubblewrap for large and fragile items, or air padded envelopes with extra bubblewrap for smaller items. We generally absorb the entire cost of packaging and charge you the exact shipping charge. The items we charge a flat rate on are an estimated shipping, in some cases it could be in your favor, in some cases ours (by a minor amount). We ship your items within 2 days of purchase and notify you when we are shipping. Little about me/your seller:  I'm Mike, I'm in my early 50's, have a wonderful wife Jean, and a beautiful little 3 year old girl named Erin. I sell mostly antiques/vintage/used items purchased from local estates ... thus my user ID ... mikesestateservices ... I deal in a wide varity of merchandise and try to keep things interesting for you, and do my best to describe items accurately. I currently own a shop in West Warwick, R.I. where we sell just about anything that would come from an estate. I've been buying and selling full time for 12 years now and on ebay for little more than 10 years. I know a little bit about a lot of things and I'm an expert at nothing.  These days it's become more and more difficult to do this for a living due to the rising costs of overhead, I realize the competition for your business fierce so I appreciate it all the more. Hope ever one out there has a great day! Thank you for looking at our auctions here at... Estate Services Be sure to visit my other auctions!
