Description
This cello was most likely a student model when it was made, but it is made of nicely figured maple. The label reads “Made in Germany” and “HO 128” has been hand painted inside next to the label. It has several cracks on the top, numerous nicks and chips, a small section of the top between the pferling and the edge missing. The neck has been previously repaired and it needs to be reset. But it is basically complete and made of a nice chunk of maple that is difficult to find these days. A worthy project for someone with the knowledge. The length of the body is 30.5 inches, there are no strings, nut or soundpost. It comes with a bridge and a tailpiece. Due to the size of the box, international shipping is not possible, the box measures 22 x 24 x 55 inches and will be sent via UPS, The UPS website gave me a quote of $ 165 to send it to the east coast not including insurance. Local pickup in the San Francisco Bay Area can be arranged. Money orders or personal checks only, Please e-mail with any/all questions or for additional photos; this item is being sold “as-is”.
