It is vintage and the workmanship is very nice as iks the dark color. You can see from the photos that someone took very good care of this piece!! The handle is wrapped very nicely around the hanger piece and as you can see this is totally a handmade and well thought out basket and very sturdy! This is very nice for hanging; (or as you can see from the photos it does have 2 cross sticks on the bottom) or you can just sit it on a shelf if you choose. Most baskets I have seen like this have much more wear on the bottom from water damage and just normal use over the years! The piece does has a few "very small flaws" but it is because of the age and they are not obvious. The size of this basket with handle is 14" tall by 13 3/4" across the middle. the internal basket itself is 3 3/4" deep by6 1/4" across!
