It is an original map done by the famous London-based printer Alexander Hogg, of Patternoster Row at Kings Arms, 16The engraver was another famous 18th century figure, T.ConderAll hand painted and the plate marks are clearly visibleTHIS IS AN ORIGINAL 18th CENTURY MAP, from the year 1786, NOT a newer reproduction or reprint!It has a beautiful large title vignette upper right, with the coat-of-arms of the city of YorkFramed probably in the 1970s, as on the back there is an inscription, probably from the previous owner and collector. He paid 32 pounds for it and wrote the date Measurements: Approx. framed, it is 14.25" x 9.75".
